Default CAM upgrade and Check engine light

I want to do a CAM upgrade. Probably the MTI B1, T1 or Hammer. I am mostly looking for the low end grunt 1500-4000. I don't care if it peaks at 6000. I am looking for the Space Shuttle launch :D

I have an M6 so hopefully minimal PCM fix.

I don't want my vacuum to go to crap because of it. I want it streetable.

I keep hearing the Throttle Body drill out mod to keep it idling. If I have my PCM upgraded to a 900 rpm can I skip the drill out mod?
Also is the RPM directly responsible for the SES light setting? I don't want any cam that keeps setting the ses. Help please

You may want to consider our MMS218 cam. It has an extremely mild idle quality. You'll see good gains from idle on up. Peak HP will be at about 5700 rpm and won't fall off much past that.

The 218 cam will add 25-30RWHP 5800rpm peak
The 224 cam will add 35-40RWHP 6200rpm peak
The 229 cam will add 40+ RWHP 6500rpm peak

Cam is $425
spring options include Comp29618 $169.95 or MMS springs and Titanium retainers (These come with a 1 yr unconditional warranty) $299.95
Pushrods are optional on a cam only swap Comp Cams Chromemoly $119.95

You have 2 package choices:
Cam, 29618 springs, and Prods - $629.95
Cam, MMS springs, titanium retainers, and prods - $699.95

To top it off, we offer a budget PCM program that will take care of all those problems. The PCM programming is $250 and it will take care of Idle speed, Rev limiter, Cooling fans, Skip Shift, P0300 Misfire code(usually only an issue with our 224 or bigger cam). Later down the road, if you'd like to upgrade to full custom tuning, then it will only be an add'l $300.

Mail order tunes usually take 2-3 tries at the most to get it right. This is done at no charge. You may also bring the car to us. We have a DynoJet w/ A/F meter and load control to tune all operating conditions.

As a plus, once you are on our file, any changes to your tuning is only $175. This means if you change motors, injectors, whatever... the upgrade cost is minimal.
We've done a wide range of cars from 427CI, to S/C'd, to turbo. We currently tune '99-up. This includes all applications up through '02s.

Typically you will get a P0300 code (random misfire) with most cams. It does not affect performance but is annoying. A PCM re-prog will take care of it.

you have to drill the throttle body plate....but it is cake.....and I would HIGHLY recommend the PCM work or you will get CE lights....they program that out as well as anything else you want....fan temps, cags, cags light etc

PCM work is recommended by RAT :)

thanks
