Default Opinioins On This Cam

232/238 592/602 on a 111+2

How would this perform in my LS1 motor with LS6 heads in my 70. I am looking at trying to get around 400 RWHP and RWTQ. The car is a 5 speed. Probably weighs about 3300 lbs or so, I am not sure. It will most likely not see any drag strip time but will get a blast through the gears on a regular basis.

That's a mean cam, it should make great low end to mid range power. Your going to be well over the 400rwhp mark, I bet it's around 430 (if your running with LT's) with those heads and cam.

I have a 231/236/114 cam, with stage 2 LS1 heads (bench tested and flowed better than stock LS6 heads) and I made 428 rwhp in 90 degree weather and 90% humidity.

I like what I am hearing from you guys on this cam. Makes the choice easier for me make.

Would you think it would be okay if it were in a car that was to be a daily driver? The 70 will never be that but if it would be okay in a DD, then its a cinch in mine. I hope that make sense.

I know a few that had that cam in a LS1 C5 and it was fine on the street. Its all in the tune. the tune can make it 100% easy, or a rough wagon ride. get a good tuner involved

all in the tune. My 231.236.114 is a daily driver...when I want it to be. I stall here and there if I let rpms drop under 500rpm's when coming to a stop. That's more of a carelessnes of the driveability...on my part.

You will love it!

What is your idle speed set at? Could you just turn the idle up just a 100 or so RPM and it not die?
