From what I've read, there are two very important things to remember in replacement: 1) make sure entire area and all electrical connections are clean and free from any oil residue, and 2) do not over tighten / torque the new sensor, in fact some members have suggested torque at 1 or 2 lbs. less than that recommended by GM.
Don't put a GM sensor back in. There is a thread somewhere on this. I had a local shop put one in from NAPA. I think the name may have been Standard Motor Parts.
I scrupulously cleaned the connectors and torqued my new AC/Delco oil pressure sensor to 15 ft-lbs. It has been 8K miles since the change out... so far so good.

You should have never posted that. Mr. Murphy is now actively looking for you.
Return the GM sensor to them with the receipt. They will give you a new one for free anytime within 12 months. It also serves to let GM know that are providing worthless parts. You don't have to use it of course, but at least you will have a spare. I used the PS308..I think it was... but relocated it to the fuel rail. See the sticky at the top. Since doing that, it hasn't failed since.
I had same pressure problem and installed a Standard Products PS308. It worked 3 weeks and went out again. I installed one from another company -(same numbers on the part also made in Mexico) and it is working again. Looks like they are all made in Mexico by same company for each manufacturer.
Both the original and Stand Prod unit failed with oil up in the electrical connector. Make sure you clean the connector plug with some sort of solvent like MAF Cleaner or Carb cleaner spray etc. before reconnecting to new sensor.
