I just bought a 99 vert, and after a few days, both the driver's seat and the passenger's seat seem to have about a 1/2" of play in their position. I mean they will slide forward 1/2" when braking, then slide back 1/2" when accelerating.
Is this normal? I was told there may be a plastic bushing that needs to be replaced, but I have not found anything here that mentions this.
I have a 98 with the same seat issues--moving around at hard braking or aceleration--Also the drivers side electric seat adjusters go bad as well--they will stay "on" all the time and the battery will go dead--I ended up just unplugging the pigtail to the seat motor --- Took the seat into a welding shop and they just welded it in some key spots to keep it from moving around-not a perfect fix but i just put the seat where i wanted it and welded it in permanently there--I don't have any adjustment capabilities anymore--but for me it doesn't matter----

Thanks, but I share my new vert with my wife. She is 14" shorter than I am. So, the seat needs to move.
The writeup I did is on our site (www.lieblweb.com) and hasn't moved since I posted it a few months back. The first link that was posted in this thread had "Co..." in the link. That doesn't work.
The actual full link is: http://www.lieblweb.com/TechLinks/Co.../C5SeatFix.htm
I hope you find it an enjoyable fix.
EDIT: This site apparently truncates URLs. If you just copy the text and paste in in another thread, the link won't work. Mouse over my link and you will see the "Co..." is actually "CorvetteSeatFix".
