Knocking sound?

Knocking sound?
Ok, I just bought my 04 Z06 last week and drove it back to CA from TX. I had no problems whatsoever on the way out, but I woke up this morning to go wash it, and it is now making a knocking sound. The sound seems to be coming from the rear end and it gets worse when I make left turns. Does anyone have the slightest clue what this might be?
It is definitely something that is a rotating part because the sound speeds up and slows down with the car.

That would make sense if I had done one, but I purchased the car last Tuesday w/ <5K miles on it and I have only done highway driving since. I guess the previous owner could have done a bunch. Anyone have any thoughts?
