where is gromet P200
I seem to have damaged some wiring in my C5. the circuit which feeds the maplights, underhood light, and instrument panel compartment light (whatever that is) is giving me about 5V of power right now. I was installing an LED underhood light and I Think I may have shorted it. I didn't know that the metal right next to the positive side was grounded! the circuit has a 10A fuse on it, which is way more capacity than it needs, even in stock form. looking at the wire which carries power to the underhood light it looks like its about a 20 awg wire. if that wire were shorted I Don't think the 10A fuse would have protected it. when I put a continuity meter on the underhood light plug (car side) I get a periodic short between the two. if I hook up the circuit I'm getting 5V of power and the light is very dim, the map lights as well. I think I damaged the wiring in there causing this. I'm trying to trace the ~20awn orange wire which supplies the light with power (I have already checked the ground side ofit, its okay) but its very hard to follow this wire through the car. it does go through p200 to get inside.
any ideas on where damage may have occurred? I want to find all of the connectors and start unplugging them until the map lights start to work again. I'm afraid that fixing this may be very difficult.
