Anybody out there monitor their catalysts after a high performance cam install? Obviously too much fuel that ends up in the catalysts will result in overheating and clogging and eventual loss in output.
Of course, running without catalysts is an option but for everyday street applications the refinement loss on a n/a cam upgraded motor may be unacceptable.
Has anybody used the MTI T1 cam with catalysts in place an inspected the catalyst after one year or so because I plan on recommending it to a C5 owner ready for a cam upgrade.
A bigger cam with no other changes would usually lean out the car, due to increased air flow and no computer changes. I don't know that any streetable cam would be prone to damaging the cats.
