I am looking at options for stereo upgrades and I need to know this number. I hate taking all that trim apart unless I am really planning on doing something.
Re: Does anyone have their factory headunit out... (jayleone)
There are two different part numbers for the same type HU. 97-98 same, 99-2k1 same. All Bose systems are the same as far as any upgrading you would want to do.
Re: Does anyone have their factory headunit out... (99HT)
I have a 2k1 Bose. I am looking for a changer wire harness adapter and a company that manufactures them lists a number of GM stereo part numbers that are compatible. I have seen others specificly exclude the corvettes from other GM vehicles for their "unique" stereo systems. So I want to confirm with them that the corvettes have been tested before I begin this project. Thanks for clarifying that 99 and later headunits are all the same, I was concerened. But I still need a number...anybody?
