Subwoofer Speaker Box
Has anyone purchased or built a speaker box to fit in the rear compartment to accomodate a sub?
Where did you mount the amp? Does the OEM lid still fit?
Please post some details and pics!f

C5 Fiberglass Sealed Corvette Sub-Box from TP Performance!
I had TP Performance in Orlando, Florida build me a Great Sealed Fiberglass Box! Sound is out of this world in our C5s!
I took second place in the last car show I was in with the set up and did not loose any HP (weight to HP ratio)! The Fiberglass box weighs very little, thus I did not loose any HP due to the weight... unlike those HP robbing heavy wood boxes!
Anthony (the owner of TP Performance) charged me $350 for my custome box plus shipping... Plus, the guy who built it (Anthony) also ownes a C5 corvette and he does lots of racing so weight is important to him!

Try www.subthump.com. They make custom sub enclosures for the rear compartment.
They can also hook you up with a metal lid with holes to replace the stocker. That's what I'm running.

Thanks! I love it! I replaced all of the original speakers with Alpine Speakers (Components in the front and regular Alpine Speakers in the back). The Alpine Amp is behind the Driver's Seat and the MTX Sub Amp is behind the Driver's Seat... 2 12" MTX Subs in the custome box. The Sterio is a 2 Bin Radio with a DVD Player... The Screen Pops out... Very nice system. Anthony put it all in the car... I was told by other so call installers it could not be done... He put a 2 Bin radio into a 1 1/2 bin hole!
