Sounds like a lot of hp for heads and cam only. My car puts down 520 rwhp 410 ci, ported fast, Kooks long tubes, dart heads cleaned up, 90 mm throttle body, varram intake.

It takes a lot to get that kind of power on motor only.

"Packages" are a great way to get ripped off. The SLP package has uneccessary parts, and will barely get you over 400 to the wheels with their heads/cam.

Buy parts separately and save $$$.

Don't buy an intake, you can modify your stock one and get a $40 k&n filter:

Don't buy a MAF or Throttle Body.

Get American Racing Headers or similar. Hold off on the catback, it adds no power. See if you like the sound of headers and stcok exhaust first, if not then buy a catback you like the sound of.

If your car is an A4, do gears and torque converter before head/cam.

As for the head/cam, AFR 205cc are probably the best all around heads for a stock displacement c5. As for the cam, how mild or wild do you want to go?

1 7/8” long tube headers are defiantly too big for a 346ci motor. Get 1 ¾” long tubes as the larger ones may actually cost you some HP over the 1 ¾” ones.

Welcome to the forum.

That package is definately a winner since SLP teamed up with AFR. However, I would contact Tony Mamo @ AFR who posts frequently in here and ls1tech. He could build you a stout package suiting your goals. The cam they offer in that package appears to be a 236/236 .590/.590 on a 112.

With all the right parts, I think 525 at the crank is possible. I see afr's with a 224/228 cam putting up 430+ at the wheels all the time.

You will definately need to get a ls6 or a fast intake, get some lt's, and a tune.

If you have a stock clutch you might want to consider upgrading that too or prepare to upgrade it soon after the upgrades.
