It has been done. As far as price it depends on what you want new parts used parts (price depends on what kind of deals you can find). Labor charges vary also unless you do it yourself.
I've seen a few posts from Todd and Rodney at RPM transmissions. I don't think I've ever seen a complete installed price though.
I'm sure if you call them you could get a ballpark figure. I'm waiting on my next trip down to GA to have them fix my tranny.
The general consensus seems to be that if the car is in relatively
