Fuel Gauge Problem?

Fuel Gauge Problem?
i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.i start the car and start driving,after awhile;check gaugelight comes on.the monitor saye low fuel and the gauge indicates empty.what are your thoughts.thanks

Techron Plus is your friend. Lots of forum members have had this experience. Pour a bottle of Techron in the next few fill ups and then use gas with Techron (Chevron and Texaco) and see if the problem goes away. HTH

3 possible causes...
1. the fouled sensor that needs a fuel system cleaner and switch to top tier gas
2. a corroded ground connection
3. a faulty sending unit that needs replacement
