Headlight Adjustment Issues
I simply wanted to replace the nylon gear in the headlamp motor with a brass gear, but I unfortunately seperated the motor and springs came out and now it doesn't work although I thought I put it back together. I'm good at taking the headlight assembly out and can replace the motor, but the assembly doesn't go up far enough or down far enough when manually adjusted with the **** under the rubber boot. I'm moderately mechanically inclined, but what should I do? 1. Take it to a repair shop (NOT the dealer and let them replace the motor and adjust the assembly?). or 2. Replace the motor myself - but how do I connect the linkage correctly so that the headlight assembly will go up and down correctly? Please help guys.... Thanks!
