I've got a TCI in my street rod and its been totally reliable. It's in a beefed TH-400 behind a ZZ3 small block with a 9" rear. The car is a 37 Chevy and it drives ver well, spins the tires even better.
Yank will custom build a unit for you that can handle the pressure. He built converters for both of our families race cars and also for my 2000 Corvette, and all three held up admirably.
