Welcome aboard. Glad you got yourself a nice Vette. I think you'll love this site, I know I do. I may as well tell you now everyone will insist on pics so you may as well put them up. Sorry I can't answer your questions but there's a bunch of guys here who will.

I don't think you'll notice any hp increase with the installation of the MSD ignition pack and wires. Yes, the 01 to 04 LSI intake manifold is the same as the ZO6 / LS6 intake manifold.

For improved / faster throttle response, you should consider CAI, like the Vararam, and a good set of long tube headers.

How many miles ?I changed wires and plugs at 80K miles... I did not notice any improvement so could have waited longer.

GM wires or AutoLite from Advance Auto seem to be as good as any.
Stick to the AC/ Delco Iridium plugs...
Some have gone to Copper if you don't mind changing more often. Do a search keyword sparkplugs in the C5 section

The intake you have is the same as in the Z06.

I have a 01 as well I installed the GM performance wires and Iridium plugs (purchased at discount with CF vendors). Did not notice a performance increase but at least I know they are not restricting any performance. I also agree that I don’t think you will not see any real gain from the MSD pack (not until you really mod your engine). I think you would like a ported throttle body - definitely helps with throttle response and its easy mod + cheap. The manifolds are same as z06. I would definitely do some sort of cold air intake (I have Vararam and love it).

Enjoy.

MSD wires have been known to burn out on the headers. I would do long tubes next with a tune. LG's, Dynomax and Kooks seem to be the most popular. I went with the LG pros. It's a good step torwards your next mods. Heads and cam.

I definately wouldn't waste the money on the MSD ignition. Best performance and value are ....

GM Performance Parts plug wire kit - wires are red - kit has all 8 in it ... part number 12495519

AC Delco spark plugs - they are CORRECTLY pre-gapped at .040 ... AC Delco part number 41-985
