i got mine today. if someone could clear up a couple things, that'd be great. the way i understand it, by using the MAFT we are faking out the PCM to thinking it has achieved the perfect 14.7:1 AFR but in reality the conditions in the cylinders are leaner or richer, depending on what you adjust to. so, the tables in the instructions refer to %'ages of rich or lean. % of what? the AFR? if so, then 10% rich means ~13.2:1. Right? Also, i have Autotap. what am i shooting for on the readings? on the LTFT, by achieving 0.000, is that what i want? i run nitrous often. what should i be shooting for? thanks
At WOT, the computer ignores O2 sensors. You are tricking the computers MAF reading so that it thinks that it is getting more (or less) air than it actually is, and compensates by adding or removing timing.
I think you basically want to lean it out untill you yet the O2's down around 800mv?????? That should be rich enough to be safe, but more powerful than the OEM program.

PS: I havent' gotten mine yet, but that is the way I understand it.
Anyone with a MAFT should check out kewlbrz's website vetteguru.com. He has compiled a lot of very useful information concerning A/F ratio tuning including the proper usage of a MAFT. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
