RearView Mirror, Simple fix
The day before yesterday, my carpooler tried to turn on the passenger's lamp built into the rearview mirror and it failed to come on. I went out there yesterday and found that I couldn't get it apart to diagnose it properly but there was no power on the bulb clamps. So I'm thinking, Ok..GM did it to us again and what is a mirror going to cost me, but while I went to extract the lamp itself, it came on. The cause was a bad crimp from the power feed wire to one end of the bulb clamp. I managed to get pliers in there just enough to re-crimp it and all is well now.
FYI for any who have this happen in the future. It happened on my '99 Coupe.
