My passenger's sun visor has a rattle at the INBOARD end. The plastic arm fits snugly into the clip on the windshield header, but the visor itself has a little play in the way it fits around the arm, and rattles back & forth on the arm. There must be a piece of hard plastic inside the visor that makes the noise, for the outside of the visor is too soft to rattle. I could take it in and have the visor replaced under warranty, but is there an easier way? Thanks.
Try wrapping a piece of black electrical tape around the part that snaps into the holder. This worked for me, just use one layer around or it will not fit in.
Hope this helps.
The screw that holds the clip onto the windshield header is tight, and the visor arm fits tightly into the clip. The rattle is definitely coming from inside the visor itself- I can unsnap the arm from the clip, hold the end of the arm with one hand and reproduce the rattle by pushing back & forth on the visor. Who would have thought that there is something hard enough to rattle inside the visor?
Im sorry, it was a preliminary document, until put into the SI2000 database, as document #300035, under the squeaks and rattles section.
It basically states that the lens for the lights, or the actual glass within the mirror becomes loose, creating the rattle. It has also talked about the retainer clip, which would be replaced.

It's time for me to apoligize. I rechecked the passenger sun visor, and the arm is slightly loose in the clip. True, the visor is also slightly loose on the arm, but I think the rattle is from the clip. I'll try to be better next time.
