Well you asked how this ended up so here goes.

Failed a second time after trying several things mentioned. So I took it to a local Vette specialty shop. What they found taught me alot about my car. I new the car was modded when I bought it but not sure how much. The car had a set of O2 sensors missing and simulators installed. The spark plugs where "Halo" plugs. The shop installed/replaced my O2 probes and regular spark plugs. They also seafoamed it. The car still would not pass. It runs high NOX and hydrocarbons. Basically the car is running very rich. The shop invited me to there "Dyno Day" in spring as the car appears to have had a questionable tune put into it and should be tuned on the dyno. I plan on doing that in spring.

While I was alittle frustrated with the hole thing and the shop did a few things I would have liked to do myself the bottom line is I have a greater knowledge of my car, the shop fixed a rattle in the exhaust, they also fixed a leak in the header collecter. The shop also assured me that I have a very strong car and they are also curious to see what kind of numbers it will run on the dyno.

After two weeks in the shop and several $$$$$ and some frustration I still love the car. Getting back into it after two weeks was almost like the first time.

Thanks for all the input and I will let you know the outcome of the dyno tune.

Sad news is it goe in storage tomorrow.

Where do you see it is "recommended" by the CARB ?????

The CARB doesn't "recommend" ANYTHING .....

Looks to me like a complete product ..... all the usual claims ... better fuel mileage (add a Turbonator and the engine generates gasoline ... ) cleaner burning, cures cancer, better than Viagra ....
