Hello All,
I was wondering, is there a significant heat difference inside the car after a header install? The cars transfer a good bit of heat to the inside as it is but I was wondering, does it get even hotter in there?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Nope, was not and is not an issue for me. I have not noticed any change in temps over the last few years. I have had coated and uncoated headers, with no appreciable heat increase from one to the other.

Nope. Uncoated Kooks. I DID however have the coated tunnel plate installed at the same time though, but it was not necessarily just for any heat reduction benefits.
HTH
I have headers but no more cats, before with stock exhaust the interior would heat up in about 20 mins to where you would notice it now it takes a good hours of driving before it gets warm but it will never get hot like before.
I have had the Elite coated tunnel plate for a while and the temps droped like they claim. I just put in Super Maxx coated headers and no change in the interior counsel or cabin heat. Very comfortable.
While you have the old exhaust off while doing the headers install one of the forum vendors tunnel plates and your cockpit temperatures will go down.
I put Elite Engineerings version on mine when doing my American Racing uncoated headers . My wife claims the tunnel plate is the best mod I've done...
Her bare legs are now "cozy" not "toasty" when up against the center console.
