I may have the opportunity to install some C6 seats into my C5Z. The C6 seats are the 'base' model, which is a little confusing. Apparently, compared to the upgraded C6 seats (or the C6Z seat) there is a different amount of side bolstering and no lumbar adjustment. Thats OK, as is the fact that I wont hook up the airbag. But what about the memory function. My C5Z has the memory option and I would like to keep it functioning. I know nothing about how the memory system works. Are there position sensors in the seat track or is there a module that has some type of memory built in? Do I need to use a specific C6 seat or will any electric C6 seat be controlled by my cars memory system? Any info or experience is appreciated.
I know I saw a post that someone actually put the C6 seats in a C5 already. Sorry I don't know exactly where it is but you might want to search for that thread. They might have some of the info you are looking for.
