Default GM bra install

Ok, this thing has me baffled. C5 gm bra..... pretty simple even with no instructions. Except for the top snap at each fender well. The other two (lower) snap into the rubber inserts.... the top one has a snap attached to a strap that just snaps to itself??? Do I wedge the bendable tab between the fender and the inner fender well?

Yes, you have to bend the tab. Once you figure it out it is pretty simple (I went through the same thing). Try this Tech Tip:

I recommend getting 4 new screws in snaps, instead of using the provided 4 rubber screw snap heads (the ones that go in the fender in front of the wheels). Makes life so much easier! I had to go to an upholstery store to get them, but some marine shops sell them. Worth the quick trip and 1.80 or so.

Enjoy!

Searched for the snaps and found mine at the fourth marine shop visited. Explained what I wanted them for and they gave them to me! Freebie with stainless screws thrown in. Check with the crew that does the servicing of boats...apparently not worth their time to write up a ticket.

my only suggestion is to toss the bra outside in the sunlight to warm up prior to installatio.

YOu want it to be tight, and a little suns rays seem to allow that extra 1% stretch that makes it all work.

Plus, at your first stop after driving with the bra installed, recheck all the snaps.
