Air bag light on - code says it deployed!

Air bag light on - code says it deployed!
ok the airbag light came on so i pulled the codes B1000 and B0051 one sayes it deployed (not) and the other is a ecm malfunction, i cleared them and the light just came back on. I have a 99 vert w/80k , any ideas?

B1000 is a bad BCM. About the only way to fix this if it keeps coming back is to replace the BCM. You will need someone with a Tech2 to set the correct RPO codes in the BCM after replacement.
The B0051 is a "latched" code. Once set it CANNOT be cleared. Replaceemnet of the SDM is the only fix if that code is set. Again a Tech2 will be needed as the new SDM will need o be synched to both the PCM and the BCM after installation (otherwise a B1001 will set).
