How is less than 500 miles from install to failure, time is about 6 months. Incredible!! I know there is a bunch of posts on this, but it there another sending unit that is better than the GM p.o.s??
did you see the other posts indicating how critical it is that you don't use over 15lbs of torque when installing it. Someone said if you tighten it until it bottoms out you have to apply over the maximum allowed torque.
They have a 1 year 12000 warranty. I went through 3 of them. Then I used the buick- pontiac sensor.

There was plenty of room. I did leave the connector off. Then I slid the intake into place and had to lift the Brake Booster hose behind the fitting then I plugged the connector in. Every thing fits nice no strain on wires or hoses. I was not a fan of the hose across the top of the motor or extending the wires.

Oh I forgot to mention that my last sensor was under warranty, and I got the dealership to swap me this one under warranty. So total out of pocket was 9.00 bucks.
