You might wait another month or so for I think before Xmas, other single user products will come out that allow you to use a program that allows you to make your own PCM changes and have the ability to save your stock PCM code to restore back on PCM when you have to.
Heck you might even see tuner vendors who have been charging big bucks for a one time tune selling these single user PCM tune programs for once the other vendors start selling "do it yourself tuning" who would spend 500 big ones for one tune, if so you'll feel bad you went for a one time tune when now the same vendor ( or others) now give you unlimited tunes on your own for the price ( or less ) then the one time tune cost.
Seems like I hear more problems with powerloader. With my setup (upper end mods, torque converter, etc.) which would be your choice?

that would be awesome. I sure hope they include the 2002 C5 LS1; I know a few with 2002's that would buy it instantly. The 2001/2002 are so similar, that the developers would only need to spend an extra half hour to have the '02's covered as well. hint... hint :)
Can't speak for any programmers but Hypertech.
Save your money. :yesnod: The only thing it's good for is gear changes and shift point changes in an A4. :D
My ride has operated flawlessly since the programming. I can't understand how everyone tolerates the other tuners lack of service.
See Ya :seeya
Easy
I agree! I was very impressed with his work on my previous car, 1997 Z28. He'll be tuning my Vette as soon as I get more miles and mods on it.
Isn't that what Hypertech Computer Programmer (West Coast Corv.) does now?
No, the hypertech either allows you to load their calibration to your PCM, or lets you change a few functions but does not allow you to tune a fuel or timing table exactly like you want it.
These newer programs are really what the high dollar tuners use to tune PCM functions now and they will be replaced by you having the same type of program to do what they do but at a much lower overall cost plus you can retune as many times you want.
This is just as we all do by products sold for C4 Corvettes where we changed the code in the ECM by burning in the changes to a E-prom but a PCM instead uses flash memory.
The problem is for the C5, products at this point forced you to go to someone who had such a product but did not produce a product for you and I to do the same PCM calibration changes.
these vendor collect 400-500 per PCM, thus you can figure their profit if just 500 Corvette owners go to them whereas new products allow you to do the changes yourself and pay less long term and you make the changes with the PCM on the car, and never have to wait for some high profit tuner to do what you paid him for.
