Headlight Question
My buddy recently bought an 03 Z06, and when he turns on the parking lights the headlights pop. The parking lights do come on like they are supposed to, but the weird thing is that the lights pop up???? So my question is has this happened to anyone and if so how did you fix it. I did a search but I don't think I was doing it correctly.

And, although my problem wasn't one of the half-dozen links above, the exact same symptoms and the same solution.
I got lucky in that I was able to pull the headlight actuator arm, rotate the motor 180 degrees, and put the arm on. I still have the worn parts of the gear, but now the motor goes over that part of the gear about halfway through the raise/lower cycle where the load is the lowest.
So far, so good.
