What type of noise are you hearing that could be spider gears?Notice it more on turns?Do you notice At more accel/decl. Gears will roar and whine, while bearings just roar, and the clutch pak will chatter/squall or forget to spin the other tire. There is always a distinct grind/poping when a ring and pinion is damaged same for spider gears be surprised to see one of those break on stock application
You could have something simple not enough slip additive for the lube.
Or you got pieces worn and damged, hopefully basic carrier bearing failure
Drain the fluid see what comes out, thats one way to start,
Term used for the gears used in the assembly that make up the differential. Not to be confused with the ring and pinion. These gears help to turn the output shafts at the rear axles. These gears along with other parts in a differential aid in applying power to both wheels otherwise known as posi-traction/limited slip and the ability to easily turn corners.
The noise i hear sounds rotational with a different pitch at a certain time in the tire revolution.
It does not sound like the pinging due to lack of additive. It occurs at all speeds. I at one time thought it was the wheel weights scraping the caliper but i figured they would of all fallen off by now if that is the case.
i notice it on decel not really on turns but there is some type of noise really all the time.
hard to describe on a forum i suppose. I will try the fluid change and look for metal approach
