I dynamatted my entire interior in about 6 hours, including disassembly/reassembly. The seats come out easy, but be careful to disconnect the power couplers at the bottom rails before you pull the seats all the way out. I found that the easiest way was to unbolt them, then pull the outboard side of the seat up and rest it on the door ledge (sitting on a thick towel). Then you can get at the power coupler fairly easily.
Just four nuts and a wiring harness connection...that's it. Don't forget to lay a thick towel over your sill. Plus it's a lot easier getting the seats out with the top off. :D

I was just outside taking a look at doing this for a nice dynamat installation. And lo and behold! I found yet another screw in the driver's seat track. Hmmm... now I feel like taking the seats out just to see if any are missing, or if they were just "extras" :D
I used the Xtreme because it insulates against heat as well as sound. This was a major plus to me, as I wanted to reduce the heat coming off the central driveline tunnel. The foil backing also made it much easier to work with, and it should hold up longer.
Removing the seats is extremely simple, and is documented in the Service manual. basically, move the seat all the way back and remove the front two bolts. Then move it all the way forward and remove the back two bolts. Lift the seat up off the studs and set the outboard rail on the door sill (using a thick towel over the sill to prevent damage). Take off the power coupler and then lift out the seat. Viola!
The most difficult part of the preparation is removing the console so you can dynamat the driveline tunnel. But there are several good sets of instructions in the tech tips section of the forum. Look up installing an aftermarket shifter, and follow the console removal instructiuons.
Several months back, I posted the complete procedure to dynamat the entire interior, including disassembly/reassembly instructions. You might search the archives for that post.
