Joe, that is gorgeous! How do you keep it clean? Is it ok to spray it down with a hose? My (unpainted) hoodliner has several dirty areas that I'd like to clean but it is also starting to get fuzzy in spots, presumably where it touches the engine, so I'm hesitant to scrub it too hard. Any advice?
i've only had this liner since july/august, so it hasn't got too dirty. i don't know it the front hood seal has anything to do with it, but my original stayed fairly clean. as for cleaning, don't use a shop vac or anything abrasive. i have wiped the liner (gently) with a damp cloth on a few spots, and that seemed to work "ok". i think the hood seal is the answer to keeping the engine compartment, including the liner clean.
no, i thought i might to salvage my original clips, but i went ahead and got new ones. went to my local chevy dealer, and like most corvette stuff, paid about a buck each for .02 worth of plastic. (need 15) -
The liners above are AWESOME!
If you want to take a few hours of your time and save about $220.00 do it yourself. I used the rollerball type pens that are used for material (T-shirts). You can get them almost anywhere and I haven't had any problem with it yet.
Here is a picture of mine...sorry I don't have a cool closeup like the others.
I have to admit that I love those flames!
Enjoy it whatever your choice. :D
