Hello. My Black 81 C3 coupe was lonely so we took the plunge and joined the C5 Crowd. We purchased a 2001 Speedway White Coupe that had only 4451 miles on the odometer with auto and all the options. The previous owner never drove it in the rain – apparently did not drive it much at all. Every paper Tab is still on all the suppension parts and under the hood.
It looks fantastic in the garage next to our Black 1981 C3. I am totally amazed as to how much the Corvette advanced in those 20 years.
I will be lurking on the C5 site hoping to learn what I can from the forum about the C5’s. The C3 site has been a valuable source for my projects on the C3 and I have no doubt this site will be the same.
Welcome aboard. I have a C2 and a C5 in my garage and they go great together. Sounds like you found a real creampuff. This is the best forum I've found. Hope you enjoy it and your new ride.
Welcome to C5 world. I just sold my '81 coupe, didn't need two. I love my 2000 Artic White / Torch Red Coupe. Huge difference between the two cars. The C5 is a great road trip car for my wife and me. The C3 would still get a lot of looks / thumbs up, probably more than the C5.
Its funny how Vette owners end up buying more than one.
I have a '72 convertible (white) and an '03 AE coupe (we call it maroon) which works great for us since we are Aggies. I love to pull into the driveway and see them as the garage door comes up.
I bought a Mag Red '99 coupe track car which is sitting in the driveway right now. We are planning to build a 3-car garage so we can get them all inside.
I can't wait to see them all sitting side-by-side.
