Hey Guys i'm planning on buying a 408 stroker motor for my 01 Z06, and throwing my LS6 Heads on the 408 with a magic stick 3 camshaft from TSP. Im wondering what kind of numbers do you think this set up will put down. And also the compression i should go with, i don't plan on spraying, turboing or supercharging the motor so i was going to go with really high compression. What do you guys think?

Eh... I think LS6 heads unported will run out of breath on a 402. I'd go w/ AFR 205s. Also the MS3 will be a smallish cam when put in a 402 like that. Larger motors can take a larger cam and maintain drivability.

That said... I'm guesing it'd make 480 rwhp as that setup makes about 430 on a 346.

408 usually implies an iron block. No need if you're staying N/A.

See sig for a nice 403 LS2 block build. Drives like stock until you smash the gas.

Stick with the alum block 403 set up. If you're not concerned with compression, and want to do a max build theres plenty of options out there. LS6 heads will not do it justice. your cam choice too is on the conservative side, and in conjunction with high SCR could jack up the DCR to unacceptable levels.
Mild cam, lower compression.
Larger cam, more overlap, high compression.
Heads, any of the aftermarket companies. I prefer ETP 11 degree heads.
