Default HELP -> Installing a shift light?

I'm installing a shift light and looking for help wiring the unit. I need to find the tach terminal on the igniton in order to complete. Does anyone know where this is located? Or better yet if you have wired yourself how did you go about it? Any help would be appreciated.....

Were you looking to pick off a tach signal?
If so, I did this on my 00 about a year ago.

You have to take the front passengers wheel and, fender skirt off to get to it.
If I remember correctly it was the blue connecter wire 10 (light gray).

I have seen a doc on a 98 C5 and it was a different wire... like wire 10 red connector (white wire).
I followed that and ended up tapping the wrong wire the first time around.

Hopefully someone will step in and confirm this...

Thanks for the info guys.......... I guess I'll have to revert to using the service manuals a little more than I really wanted.

Default Air Conditioning Duct Install.. not near as involved as it looks

Thanks for the positive comments about my in-dash install. I was looking for a completely "stealth" install where the light was virtually invisible when off but completely obvious when on. I wanted to use one of the large pro lights that would easily get my attention even in direct sunlight. I put the light inside the center a/c duct. The install took about 3 hours start to finish, but really could have been done much faster since I took alot of time cleaning the parts of the dash pad, windshield, hud, and routing lines for my in-dash nitrous gauge. Taking the full dash apart as seen in the photos about is much easier than it looks.. takes about 30 minutes is all. If you want any additional pics, send me your email address and I'll send you some.

Go for it!
