I searched but can't find any info about Performabuilt transmissions in Hazelton PA. I see their transmissions on Ebay, but cant find much else about them. I'm looking to have my A4 built up some. Any input appreciated.
I came across them when looking for a tranny to convert my GS to a auto. They say they are the "Premere builder for the area". I asked around with some friends and some shops I use and no one has ever heard anything about them. I checked some Camaro boards and all they did was advertise there, and no one had any feed back.
I went with CPT in Delaware for a race trans that has been perfict so far.
Thanks for the info. I have seen a ton of info about RPM. I was kind of trying to stay local, as it would be much easier plus I would save shipping. I'll give RPM a call and check out their policies, on defective transmissions, core charges etc.
RPM is the best. My Trans and my rear end were built by them. They are professional and honest and I trust them. I have been to their facility and it is a first class operation. Hope this helps.
i drove to RPM's shop from mississippi where they did a tranny, diff, torque converter install for me, and drove home about 3 oclock the same afternoon (about 12 hour drive). about 15,000 hard miles on mine with no problems, including maybe 200-300 passes on wednesday nights. I recommend them

Performabuilt has tons of feedback and plenty of happy customers on ls1tech. They are very reputable and have great customer service. The problem is they needed me to send them my stock tranny first since I don't have an f-body. I ended up going with rpm, and I'm glad I did. I would use RPM again and again.
