I can't get away with LTs here in California. Would shorties help? If so, by how much compared to LTs? And, what about nosie level difference between the two? FWIW, I have Corsa Pace Car GTRs.

TIA
whats the difference between the long tubes and the shorties. I don't have welding capabilities and don't really wanted to alter the exhaust by cutting and stuff. Do they make headers that just bolt on in place of the stock ones? Do you get just as much HP out of these? Also the biggest question....how much is a set of headers gonna set me back....don't have a ton of cash$$$ but will save for this if its something I can do or get a deal on.
LT headers, High Flow Cats, ( or no cats) great X-pipe flow and low resistant exhaust, along with CAI and tune, your car will pick up quite a few ponies, run much smoother and quicker. The downside ( or may be not) it will BE LOUDER.
I was wondering why on the LS1 do headers make a big difference?
All I can say, is they better make a difference! Just ordered a set of AR headers and I hope it puts more than 350 to the wheels after them with a check over the tune. It's putting 332 to the ground now and I think thats pretty respectable, but that is after a tune.
