F45 lowering question.
Will F45 shocks throw codes after lowering on stock bolts? Anyone have a link on F45 shock removal? I assume you have to have edits or sims installed if you remove the shocks. Sorry another lowering thread started

You will not throw any codes by simply lowering the car. I had a link to the Stopforce site that showed how to remove the shock option with a Tech2 tool...but I can't open their site. Maybe someone else will have an alternate link.

It is not recommended to lower a car with the F45 option, the shocks can't take bottoming out. Replace the shocks first and remove the feature from the computer, then you can lower it.

Who has a how to link? Can a dealer remove the code or do you have to use sims when going with a different shock?

My F45 has been lowered nearly 2" for 5 years. Shocks will bottom out on big bumps, but, no other problems.

I had no problem on my F45 equipped car when I lowered it as far as it would go on the stock bolts. Drove it like that for 11K miles before the system got deleted and the shocks were fine.
