The light in the HVAC controls assembly isn't working anymore. Is this a simple case of removing the center console, removing the HVAC controls assembly, and then replacing a light bulb?
Not having this light means that I don't know what the A/C-Heat temperature is set at, and I don't know what the exterior temperature is.
It is NOT a light bulb, you need to add solder to the board on 8 components (resistors?). I, like MANY others on here had the same problem you have, and it was an easy fix. Do a search on it, and I'm sure you'll find info and pics. That's how I found out how to fix it.

There is also a guy on ebay that repairs them and does a REALLY good job! I just sent mine to him to have him re-work it. Its only $50 and I'm not very good with a soldering gun
I got one of ebay for 100...But my lights were all out....This was an exchange program....When you pay he sends a unit out to you and then when you replace your old one with the new one you send the old one back to him....Took about one hour to remove and replace....Also replaced the stupid hazzard switch while I was in there because it was bad also.

Its the same guy from the link above, but its $50 cheaper because I took mine out and sent it to him. The car is just down a few days while he fixes it...which its down now because of a slave replacement and header install...so that way worked out for me
