Trunk Latch Release Button Mod
I know this is a cheesy question for the Tech section, but I'm thinking about doing a mod and I want to cut into and mount a switch/button on the trunk release button bezel (to left of the steering column). Well, I pulled the unit/bezel out and it has shell casing around the trunk release button on the back side of the bezel. My question is, does the back piece come off or is it one solid piece?
I see a couple small locking clips on each side like the back shell can come off the front bezel face, but when I tried it, it was very difficult and I didn't want to force it and break something. I may be able to do what I want without breaking it apart, but it would be much easier if the back shell came off.
