Default Help! - Rear End Whine

I have a 98' C5 coupe automatic, and I have a very noticeable whining noise from the rear when cruising around 50-65mph. I was thinking rear end, but I noticed on one of the post that stated something about about the sound changing when swerving slightly. When I swerve hard right, the noise goes away. When I swerve hard left, or go straight the noise remains the same. Is this possible wheel bearings versus rear end? I'm about to take it to my repair shop now to hopefully diagnose the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Just got back from having my vette inspected and found out it is the r/s rear wheel bearing. Still a little pricy for the repair, but much better than the rear differential. I was told that C5's do not have press in bearings, and I have to buy the whole rear hub assembly.
