Default Head/cam question

I was just wondering what kind of numbers would I be able to pull with a good had/cam package and other minor bolt ons? What setups are you guys running and what kind of horse power are you getting?

Thanks

See sig. for mods. Right now Im getting 411rwhp and 390rwtq without a tune. Once I put the Fast 90 on it, it will get tuned and have some better numbers.

See profile for mods, but I have bolt ons + a fairly non-radical heads/cam setup and put 430/395 to the wheels... with a nice area under the curve and excellent driveability.

It is interesting to look @ all of these different combo's......all in the low mid 400's. I would bet there is a huge difference in how they drive....then you get the the 500 plus post. The more you try to educate yourself the more over confused you become.

The size of the cam I bet is the main difference. The bigger size cams will give you higher peak numbers but don't gain any power till after 3500rpms and lose alot of drivability. Drivability is also affected by the quality of the tune. The cam I chose hits the powerband right away, is very driveable in the Ca heat with the a/c on, and has a very slight lope. So if your looking for a numbers queen with alot of lope, go for the bigger cam. Soon I am going to add a Mamo ported Fast intake and Nick Williams throttle body and 3.90 gears and I will have a street beast that's very driveable with around 370rwhp. I couldn't be any happier!!

My old H/C set-up with a 234/236 cam made 436/420 without all the bolt-ons and drove pretty nice. It was a little soft under 3500RPM...
