I like stock because when I put the brakes i want the person behind me see what happening in front of them. Plus I think solid red is a great contrast to all of our vette colors, especially on my BodaciousBlue!!! :lol: :lol:

Ok, a couple of questions here.

Is there a GM PN for the harness for the Euro lights, or is that some custom pigtail harness that someone has whipped up.

Are most of you buying a complete kit from someone, or did you piece it out?

On the rear side marker. I see that there is a amber side marker. Does someone also sell a clear side marker. I don't want to be a ricer, but a clear side marker on a black car sounds like it might look cool.

Like the ambers, hate the clears. Will have to replace the clears (that have the reversing lights in them) with ambers as quick as I can.

Ich wunderte mich, wenn die Eurolichter in Europa angefordert werden. Wir konnten ihr für ein Jahr verschieben und wurden wenn erforderlich wir würden installieren diese, die jetzt hell sind. Your German is very good, I was just a bit confused when you said you were German. Maybe I misread it. Back on topic:

I installed the red/amber Euro taillights and also the T-84 H4 headlights because I was used to them from Germany, and both are definite improvements over the stock DOT lights. You see better with the headlights, and they see better with the taillights. Nothing worse than having a Corvette braking and turning in front of you, when half the brake lights go out as the turn signal goes on.

There are a number of changes that have to be made to the C5 lights to comply with European regulations, including adding a side marker at the front fender (like the BMWs, Saabs, etc. have here); two silly rectangular red lights in the rear fascia (rear fogs!), and mixed amber outside/white inside tail lamps. The reason for the white inside is because the German requirement is for Sicilian pizza pie plate size license plates, and they cover the backup lights. So, the inside turn signals are rewired for backup lights.

Could you help me with these two sentences: "Ich wunderte mich, wenn die Eurolichter in Europa angefordert werden. Wir konnten ihr für ein Jahr verschieben und wurden wenn erforderlich wir würden installieren diese, die jetzt hell sind." They translate roughly as "I wonder when the Eurolights in Europe were ordered. We could delay for a year and would install those that are required and are now bright." EHS: great!!!!! i've never read a better description for a german license plate. your solution with the double red/ambers looks cool. i'll try to get an american sized plate (i know, it's nearly impossible...) and go for the same!! :cool:

 

Euro tailights look much better!!

 

I personally like the looks of my red/clear euro lamps. Gives the car a different personality - so to speak. Besides, no one else around this town has them on yet. :cool:

 

I really like them. They will probably be my next mod. Who's got the best deal on them? :cheers:
