noice from the gearbox

I have a Z06 04.When the car is standing still in neutral with the engine on i hear a metallic noise from the gearbox (6 speed manual). When i push down the clutch the noise disappear. I can not hear any noise when i drive the car. The gearbox works very well. And there is no problem or noise at all. Someone told me that all Corvettes have a noise from the gearbox and it is nothing to worry about. Is there someone who knows if the noise is a problem or not. I really will be happy to know.

I was going to ask the same thing about a year ago.

My 2001 Z was doing it and I had a hunch it was normal and forgot about it.

There are alot of gears in a little tiny space.
