Default Plug wires

Im using the red GM performance wires and plugs. Gap is .40 correct? Also do you reuse the metal covers and springs off of the stock black wires?

Thanks, Bill

From the service manual for a 2000, what year is your car?

AC Type 41-952, 1.524 mm (0.060 in) Gap

You can reuse the covers if you want. I did not and had no issues.

41-985 SPARK PLUG, IRIDIUM
GAP .040 DO NOT DEVIATE FROM PRESET GAP .040"

This plug replaces the 41-952, which was platinum tipped.

I installed MSD 8.5mm wires, and reused the stock metal heat shields.....just because they fit my new wires anyway. I look at it as extra heat protection. I also have "Kool Sox" on my wires, more for the racy look than anything else. I think I have some pics in "My Corvette Photos".

Yep, increased response when I changed mine......those old ones that were losing pucks lost 5 on my original plugs
