Parts interchangeability
I got a quick question. I have been looking over the GMpartshouse web site.
In some case parts for a 06-07 ZO6 are cheaper that C-5 ZO6 parts.
And because they are a newer model may be better.
So my question are suspension parts interchangeable between the C5 and C6. I am specifically referring to shocks, sway bars and springs.
Oh, one other question. I have a 00FRC, I assume ZO6 suspension parts C5 or C6 would be more heavy duty (road track worthy) than the Z51 I have, am I correct?

The C6ZO6 shocks are just a bit taller. Might not work properly if you lowered your car. Normal riding height they work fine. The GM stuff works fine but there are other brands you might want to look into.

I think I want to lower the car as it will be used mostly for open track events, and not much street driving, it's not a daily driver.
I realize there is a ton of after market parts but I thought to start I would do some low cost improvements till I learn the car.
My first order will be to install urethane bushings, brake air ducts and Carbotec pads.
I thought while I had the control arms off I would replace the sway bars and springs if I could get a deal on some used items, that may be better than the Z51 I have.
Shocks Koni or Bilstein, still researching them.
So bottom line, the c-6 springs and sway bars will fit on the c-5?
