Default LG Pro Install

Having a set of LG Pros installed on my 99 FRC. The shop called and advised the air tube (on the passenger side header) does not appear to be welded in the correct location to match up. Anyone else encounter this issue?

I think LG only makes the headers one way, that being for the 01+ cars. For the 97-00 cars they include a 01+ AIR pipe to convert to the later style. Sounds like they might have forgotten that pipe with your set.

Default air tube

What is involved to get behind the intake to install the new air tube. I ask because I just went through the same on our 01 Z06. The air tube on the passsenger side was in the wrong position, so I ordered up the correct air tube for the headers. I do not see a way to get behind the intake without lowering the engine or removing the intake.

Yes talked to Bobby today also, to inform him I had gotten my LG Pro LT MM cats today as well. Are you going to have to get the header gaskets too? cause I know my kit didn't come with them.

I needed to pull the manifold on mine as well. I was doing an LS6 at the same time, so I put off the AIR tube install until the final steps of the entire process.

thank god I don't have AIR or EGR on my 02 Z06. In my opinion that was one of the BIGGEST PITAs installing headers on fbodys. Which I have done about 6 times now.

To be honest the C5's look a lot easier to do than the fbodys.

Good luck with your install though! Sorry for rambling lol

Received the air tube today. I will be taking it to the shop for installation tomorrow. I can hear the installation bill going cha...ching cha...ching.

Congrats man. I'm pretty jealous. LG pros are the headers I want to go with. but unfornately I'm poor right now.

Tell us what you think once it's done!
