SHALLOW Dish wheels, like C5-R..
After getting some good info on aftermarket wheels from another post, I am still not finding what I want.... Who makes a 1 piece NO DISH wheel for the C5, the C5-R has i believe magnesium BBS wheels, but I dont think you can get them in that style. All of the custom wheels seem to use a DEEP DISH style tat I am not that fond of. If you have the Jan2002 issue of VETTE MAGAZINE, look at the silver c5-r prototype at the top right of page 47!! I want those wheels or the wheels on the c5-r on pages 37-39, anyone know who makes these?? Can custome wheels be ordered so that they have no DEEP DISH look like all the ones I have seen? Thanks

I have not seen the wheels you are talking about, but I am confused. Due to the offset of the Corvette wheels, most of them don't have a deep dish at all. In fact, that is something that I don't like (I prefer deeper dish). Have you seen the CCW wheels? They seem to be what I think you are talking about.
As a friend of mine said "we're all queer for wheels and tires". Anything we learn on this post would be appreciated as I am in the market for wheels and want something different as well - right now I'm leaning toward Z06 reproductions because they are the best bang for the buck.

I agree that all the factory wheels have no deep dish look, but the aftermarkets do. The HRE's for example have like a 2" dish. I love the Hickock full house wheels but they also have a dish, I want the spokes to start AT the rim, not inside of it. I too think the Z06 wheels are the best for the price, though i would go with real ones due to strength.

Mallett rims have spokes that attach right at the edge of the rim. :yesnod: I just tried to access their site to get you a pic but no luck :(

C5R has those nice tree-branchy multiple spoke wheels...they look a lot like a style that I've seen at Fikse and Hickok (Hickock?) Check out those sites...

Kinesis wheels makes a lot of the aftermarket wheels you are describing with a shallow dish, check out their websight. they specialize in racing rims.
