I currently have the Hawk Performance HPS pads on my C5. The car is never tracked or autocrossed. I love the extra bite during emergency/panic stops but hate the low temp squeel and horrible levels of dust.
Just noticed Hawk also makes a Performance Ceramic pad for the C5. Anyone have any experience with this compound? How does it compare to OEM for bite, squeel, and dust? To my current HPS pads? Thanks...
Ceramic pads are not really made for performance. They are kinda geared for car manufacturers and give less dust and noise. If you want some better bite, I keep the HP+ in stock but they will dust more than the HPS.
I've got the Hawk Ceramic pads. The only real difference I've noticed compared to stock pads is that they dont leave as much brake dust on my wheels. Performance is about the same IMO

Actually I was gonna PM you to pick up the HP Ceramics. Have you had any customer feedback on them? Not looking for better performance...in fact willing to give up a little over the HPS's to have no squeal and less dust.

They're pretty quiet I'm happy with them so far. I've only had them on for a couple of months so I cant tell you how long they last but they definitely dont leave as much brake dust so I'm assuming they will last as long if not longer.
