1. Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
2. Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight.
3. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it.
4. Change the bulb.
5. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place around the headlight making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover.
6. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.

Note: Some of us with big arms remove the hood adjusting screw for better access.

Doesn't work for me, I can't get my arms in through that way...

There is an access panel underneath, just in front of the wheels. About 6 or 8 screws. Its a little more involved, but worked better for me.

Go one step further for bigger arms. Take the painted headlight cover off, too. Then LOWER the headlight. Now, you have all kinds of room to reach in.

Also, note that you remove the bulb and socket as one unit, and that the you have press in a little tab on the socket, to allow you to turn it. If you don't press that little tab in, you'll never get that bulb out without breaking something. Feel around the base on the socket, you'll see what I mean.

It is easier to go through the air vent right below the turn signals and kinda reach around to get it. I have pretty big arms and this is the only way for me. It sucks, don't get me wrong, but after you do it a couple times it's a snap.

Takes 2 minutes & no disassembly required. When finished just pull the brake vent back into place.

I still prefer to change the bulbs they way the car was designed. I remove the access panel behind the spoiler on each side, and there is an opening big enough to remove the whole light housing if you need to. Also, by taking a little extra time to remove the access panel, there is less chance of scratching anything you can see from the top.

This works well for me too. Just don't forget to pre-measure the height of the hood adjuster screw before removing.

Many thanks to you guys. I will evaluate all these responses then jump in. It's pretty easy for me to lift the car so I'm leaning toward the access panel thing.

Thanks again.

If you use this method, no need to measure the height. Just put a piece of tape on the threads where the adjuster nut is and you can easily put it back in the same position.
