New key with fob????
can someone tell me the routine
for getting an extra key-I bought a fob from Gene
but am not sure whats involved to get another key
and the new fob set up
my used 03 came with only one key and fob

Any competent locksmith can cut you a new key (With resister). They will measure the resistance value of your key, then cut the teeth to match. In my area I pay $20.00 per key. Dealers get MUCH more.
Do a forum search for the proper fob setup procedure. It is done through the DIC on the car. There are many threads on the subject.

Does your key have a chip in it? My '00 does.
Your dealer should have a device that reads the key and they can tell you what blank you need.
As far as setting the new FOB it's easy.
Turn the ignition to ON
Turn the radio off
Press the RESET button in order to clear any IPC warning messages
Press and release the OPTIONS button on the DIC to scroll through the display options until the IPC display is blank.
Press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds,
Press the OPTIONS button until FOB Training message is displayed.
Press the RESET button in order to begin the programming sequence. The message HOLD LK + UNLK 1st FOB will be displayed.
Simultaneously press on hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the 1st transmitter for 15 seconds. The IPC will indicate when that transmitter is programmed and when to proceed to the next. Repeat this procedure for each additional transmitter or press OPTIONS button to exit.
