Default C5 Calipers

I see some places selling the C5 Z06 calipers to be used on non-Z06 C5s. From what I've seen, these are the standard C5 brakes but they are just painted red. So, with this being the case, you can use any C5 brake pad kit and don't need the Z06 pad kit from GM, correct?

This is also the case! In fact, I'm running non-Z06 pads right now for the street - they're more than enough "off track" and they dust significantly less!

(All the C5/C6 with the exception of the C6Z06 have interchangeable pads - in fact, I'm running C6Z51 calipers on my C5Z06 with C5Coupe pads )
