Hi all. A friend of mine is looking for headers, cats and an xpipe combo. The car is a 2000 6-speed. He is looking for something that can be installed at home, high quality, no cutting, welding or massaging required. Any group buys or specials I should know about? Which systems should he stay away from and why?
Several Forum Vendors carry them
ECS, Vette Doctors, England Greeen, are a few i know of.
I bought a set in June and did a home install.
Perfect bolt on fit ( no cutting or welding)
Easy install ( no need to shift motor)
Great HP and torque across the poweerband
Nice sound
Excellent finish
I'm purchasing the 1 3/4 Kook's and having them Jet-Hot coated for my 2000. I currently have B&B bullets and X-pipe on now - love the sound. I've heard really good things about LG's, Dynatech and American Racing too. I would stay with a long tube design and SS 304 material though - forget mild steel design or shorty's.

just ordered my set of ARH's, can't wait to install them in my garage, they arrive today!!
Melrose longtubes into a Random Technology x pipe. Muffler choices are going to be up to him. I have never had a single customer complain about putting a Corsa Pace system on the back end with headers. Not even the ones that were very weary of going with headers because of the added noise complained. However, considering the Random tech xpipe connects up right to where the factory mufflers do, his choices are many. It will be simply based on what he likes.
Give me hopefully no more than a week and I plan to have a sale. I hope to have my logo done and officially be a sponsor by then, so I thought I'd have an introductory sale.
he lives in germany so a good flowing header would be best for high speed autobahn runs and track use. The car is mostly stock. He plans on buying Electric cutouts for the exhaust to bypass the mufflers.
